Managing the KS2 Access Arrangements Process

Access arrangements for pupils participating in the KS2 tests (SATs) must never advantage the pupil/s and should primarily be based on the evidence of normal classroom practice. Access arrangements used by schools are monitored annually in unannounced visits to at least 10% of schools by the SFE School Support Team, commissioned for statutory assessment duty, on behalf of Birmingham LA.
