Golf players who enjoy a little swing and playing in a quartet are being invited to play in the first ever golfing tournament organised to raise funds for Services For Education, the Birmingham charity that each year teaches music to nearly 32,000 Birmingham children.
Services For Education’s Golf Tournament is being hosted by Handsworth Golf Club, Birmingham, on Thursday, September 26th, 2024 and is to support its charitable aims.
“We’re looking forward to a fun and friendly day out with the odd musical twist, to help raise funds to enable us to support more young people to enjoy playing music together,” said Sarah Caldwell, the charity’s Fundraising Manager.
As an added bonus, each player will also qualify to receive two complimentary tickets to Services For Education’s Youth Proms at Symphony Hall on Monday, July 8th. The Youth Proms are held over four nights (July 8 – 11) and involve some 3,000 young musicians and singers.
“Joining us as our guests at the Youth Proms will enable our golfers to really see how their support will help us to enable more young people to enjoy music – including those with special educational needs and disabilities,” said Sarah.
Tickets for the golf tournament are £50 per person (teams of up to four people accepted) to include refreshments, prize presentation and a farewell goodie bag and can be booked at Book My Place.
